Embroidery Club
This club will explore all avenues of embroidery from monograms to quilting in the hoop, and everything in between. This is a hands on embroidery class, where you will learn techniques that can be applied to all types of projects. Any model of machine is welcome.- April 2024
Fresh Poppies Tiling Scene
Welcome to Embroidery Club 2024! I am very excited that you will be joining me on this exciting embroidery adventure. My goals for the club are that you will increase your knowledge of machine embroidery and experiment with new kinds of projects this year. It is going to be a fun year.
In Embroidery Club this month we will be making the “Fresh Poppies” wall hanging. Students will learn how to successfully complete a tiling scene and embroider with a raw edge applique method. In class you will have time to make about 4 blocks. There will be homework needed to complete the project. Fabric kits are available for this project. Please see the pre-class prep work listed below.

Prep work to be finished before class:
- Print out mirrored image designs on OESD Applique Fuse and Fix. The mirrored images will be emailed to you as they are not in the PDF. Make sure you are printing on the paper side of the sheets. Rough cut out all the pieces.
- Label your fabrics. Light, medium, dark green, light, medium, dark orange, and extra dark green for leaves.
- Gather all the supplies and bring to class.
